The MAZDA Safety Ratings

The 2023 IIHS Awards can fall into two categories: TOP SAFETY or TOP SAFETY PICK+. This year, all six of the tested Mazda vehicles received 2023 Mazda safety awards in one of these categories. Models that received 2023 IIHS awards include:

Not only did every tested Mazda model receive glowing Mazda safety ratings, but the tests this year were exceptionally tough. As of 2021, the IIHS as upgraded its criterion to be much more stringent. For instance, the new side barrier impact crash test subjects vehicles to 82% more force.
